Google 🌍 to train 100,000 Nigerians πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ 10 Million Africans

Alphabet Inc's Google aims → to train 10 million people in Africa in online skills πŸ’» over the next five years to make them employable.

The technology giant is also hoping to train πŸ’ͺ🏻 100,000 software developers in NigeriaπŸ‡³πŸ‡¬, Kenya πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ and South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦, a company spokeswoman said.

The company is "committing πŸ‘πŸ» to prepare another 10 million people for jobs of the future in the next 5️⃣ years," Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai said in a conference in πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos.

Google said it will offer πŸ’» a combination of in-person πŸ‘ͺ and online training. The training πŸ’ͺ🏻 will be in different languages including Swahili, Hausa and Zulu and will try to ensure that at least 40 percent of people trained are women πŸ‘©πŸ».
